3 Carnivore Diet Recipes the Whole Family Will Love Kid Approved!
It’s January 2025, and, as always, shedding those extra holiday pounds is top of mind for many. In our home, we’ve embraced a ketovore lifestyle, but over the past two years, our focus has shifted to the carnivore diet—and for good reason. This shift has been life-changing, especially for my husband, Jason, who has reclaimed his health and vitality through this way of eating. Today, I’m sharing three of our family’s favorite carnivore meals—simple, satisfying, and budget-friendly recipes that will keep you on track and motivated as you crush your goals!
Please keep this in mind: I use spices in my carnivore recipes. Carnivore ideally is salt, water and meat. And if you choose to do a strict 30 day carnivore challenge then you would eliminate spices and dairy’s.
People claim that Carnivore is too expensive, this is how I do it for a family of six people.

#2 RECIPE
Meat Skillet Recipe
INGREDIENTS
4 Thick pieces of Bacon chopped up
2 Lb 20% Fat Ground Beef
Salt and Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS: The video “3 Carnivore Diet Recipes the Whole Family Will Love Kid Approved!” demonstrates how I make it.
Render down bacon on medium heat
Add 20% fat ground beef
Smash meat down for a good crust
TIP: use a paper towel to soak up extra fat and moisture to help get a good crust.
Ground beef was not a good buy this week at my California Safeway, however, a day later I was at my local Costco and they had ground beef for half the price per pound.
Because I am eating Ketovore, I served my meat skillet with roasted mashed butternut squash, I love the salty and sweet together.
#3 RECIPE
Carnivore Pork Shoulder
INGREDIENTS
9 Lb Pork Shoulder Bone-in
Salt and Pepper
Cumin
Cayenne
Smoked Paprika
INSTRUCTIONS: The video “3 Carnivore Diet Recipes the Whole Family Will Love Kid Approved!” demonstrates how I make it.
Render down Pork fat cap first until brown on your stove top
Then brown all sides of your pork shoulder
Place into crock pot with fat cap up
Cook on high for 8 hours
Shred and remove shoulder bone
Set to low for another 8 hours
Season with salt, pepper, cumin, cayenne, and smoked paprika
Serve and save because this makes a ton of meat for the entire week
I like to eat this with pico de gallo
Pork shoulder is the best buy for eating a ton of meat on the Carnivore diet.
I love this crockpot because I can sear on the stove top and then place in the crock pot to cook.
Make sure to buy your pork shoulder with the bone-in, this gives you so much more flavor and collagen.
