My first Vbeam laser treatment on my face was on February 9, 2024. I share my face laser treatment experience and the recovery process. What is Vbeam Laser technology and cost? Do I think Vbeam laser is worth it?
What is the Vbeam Laser?
THE VBEAM LASER
The Vbeam laser is a pulsed-dye laser found in dermatology offices.
It delivers pulsed laser energy at a wavelength of 595 nm. This energy has the ability to pass your epidermis and dermis skin layers without causing damage to skin tissue.
This energy is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin in the blood vessels and can quickly reduce broken capillaries to brighten your skin without any downtime.
My Face Before Vbeam Laser Treatment
My face looked like this right before the Vbeam laser was used across my cheeks and nose to minimize red spots created by superficial blood vessels.
What does the Vbeam Laser treat?
The Vbeam laser lessens and eliminates the appearance of red spots on the skin, effectively brightening your complexion. It’s highly effective at reducing rosacea breakouts.
This dye-pulsed laser is also powerful at treating spider veins and port-wine stains.
How does Vbeam work?
How does the Vbeam laser treat spider veins? The wavelength of 595 nm energy is absorbed by blood vessels, this power typically causes the vessels to collapse. Over time, the body will break down the destroyed blood vessels and remove them from the body through the body’s natural processes.
How long does it take for capillaries to disappear after Vbeam?
Everyone’s body is different at clearing collapsed blood vessels. Typically, after a Vbeam laser treatment, one can expect to see this clearing and skin brightening within two to four weeks. The severity of one’s condition may require multiple sessions to achieve desired results. Full results are achieved within six months and can last up to two years.
With a good SPF application for protection, you can help extend these benefits.
What is Vbeam Laser aftercare?

What do I use to create YouTube videos?
I’m asked what I use to create. I have a lot of very expensive cameras, but the DJI Osmo Pocket is my favorite for vlogging. It’s small, gimbaled, and shoots easily in vertical 3K and horizontal 4K. The audio is sufficient for vlogging, and I love that as I film, it doesn’t make bystanders feel uncomfortable. It fits in my purse, and I take it everywhere.

I had some vessels close to the surface under my eyes. Dr. Vaughn treated these areas to help reduce their appearance and encourage collagen to help build tissue, which will camouflage the appearance of vessels.
Two weeks after VBeam Laser treatment
I recorded my Vbeam laser treatment on my face for two weeks. My face will continue to improve as the blood vessels are cleared by my body. My pores were minimized from the Vbeam treatment, and further, the trauma caused by the Vbeam laser will boost collagen in my face for a plumper, more youthful face.
Collagen production takes place over three months, so full results are not present at this moment.
What is the cost of Vbeam?
Obviously, costs for any treatment vary based on where you live and where you go. My face Vbeam session was $600.
If you watched my mommy makeover videos on YouTube, then you know I first used the Vbeam Laser to treat my breast and tummy tuck scars. The cost of the Vbeam for scar treatment was $350 per session, and I did two sessions to reduce the redness in my scars. They are thin and white, and I believe the Vbeam laser effectively made my scars nearly invisible.Â
Is the Vbeam laser worth it?
Based on my experience and the fact that this laser is quick, truly has no downtime, and breaks down superficial blood vessels quickly, YES! I think the Vbeam laser technology is impressive. The cost is actually very low for these results, and I’m a huge fan.
What’s the difference between IPL and Vbeam lasers?
The Vbeam laser treats blood vessels of different calibers and depths on the face and body. Meanwhile, the IPL treats overall facial redness but does not target specific blood vessels. The Vbeam laser is the gold standard treatment for rosacea and visible redness in the skin.
Is the Vbeam Laser ablative?
No. Although, when you receive the treatment, it’s very intense, especially on your face. The light blast is extreme, and the sensation feels like it’s truly destroying the surface of your skin like a CO2 laser would. When the treatment was done, I was shocked that my face wasn’t raw and oozy. This is what makes Vbeam truly special. It blasts those superficial blood vessels but does not leave you a raw mess.
CO2 is best for resurfacing and smoothing out skin. It does this by obliterating skin cells, leaving you raw. There is much more downtime and expense with the CO2 laser experience. However, this laser is effective at smoothing out acne scars and other skin modeling concerns.
The Vbeam is specific for reducing redness by specifically targeting broken capillaries that bother you. The Vbeam is also great at helping restore skin for those who suffer from Rosacea and red flushing.
I hope my experience gives you insight into the Vbeam laser and how it could benefit your skin concerns. xo- Kim
