Starting with The Inkey List’s salicylic acid cleanser felt like a gentle awakening for my skin, purging impurities and prepping. Next, The Ordinary’s glycolic toner became my reliable companion, delicately refining and balancing the skin. The Ordinary’s AHA BHA peel is a must to keep in my skincare routine. A little tingling sensation was a reminder of its potent effects – or as I like to say “It’s working” —radiant, smoother, and boasting and a glow. This personal skincare alchemy has not just transformed my complexion but also elevated my confidence, each step unveiling a newfound layer of beauty, a journey I continue to discover in what ways I can layer acids that are most beneficial to me.

The INKEY List Salicylic Acid Cleanser

This non-drying, lightly foaming cleanser removes makeup and dirt while penetrating deep into pores to reduce blackheads and breakouts. 

Oil Reducing Cleanser. Target enlarged pores, impurities, and excess oil while promoting a more even-looking complex 

Powerful Ingredients, Real Results. 2% Salicylic Acid unclogs pores and exfoliates while our Zinc Compound reduces excess oil. 0.% Allantoin helps soothe irritation. 

How To Use. Gently massage a raspberry-size amount of cleanser onto the dampened face and neck for at least 60 seconds, then rinse thoroughly. Use AM and PM and follow with your preferred skincare routine.

THE ORDINARY PEELING SOLUTION

AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution exfoliates multiple layers of the skin for a brighter, more even appearance. With the help of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), beta-hydroxy acids (BHA), and a studied Tasmanian pepperberry derivative, which reduces irritation that can be associated with acid use, this at-home peel helps even skin texture, clear pore congestion, and improve uneven pigmentation. The formula is further supported with a crosspolymer form of hyaluronic acid for comfort, pro-vitamin B5 for hydration, and black carrot for added protection.

Note: This formula contains an extremely high concentration of free acids. We recommend use only if you are an experienced user of acid exfoliation and your skin is not sensitive.

The pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid, the primary AHA used in the formula, has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa implies acid availability. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing the effectiveness of the acid and reducing skin discomfort.

Ordinary Glycolic Toner

Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (soon to be Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner) is an exfoliant targeted at the surface of the skin. It helps improve skin clarity, balance uneven skin tone, and correct texture over time. This formula contains a Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative of plant origin which varies in colour seasonally and this colour variation may be apparent in the formula from time to time. 

This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to the additional sun protection note and other warnings in the provided directions.
