Brotox Breakdown: What You Need to Know About Botox for Guys

Have you heard of “Brotox”? If not, buckle up—this week’s YouTube video features my husband Jason trying Botulinum toxin A for the first time.

Brotox is a term used to describe Botox injections for men. It’s a playful spin on the popular brand name “Botox,” humorously acknowledging the growing popularity of these treatments among male clients.

Jason opted for Innotox, a KFDA-approved botulinum toxin A. I’ve been using this particular toxin on my face for over five years, and it’s my go-to for reducing muscle-related wrinkles.

I prefer Innotox because it comes as a ready-to-inject liquid. Its units differ slightly from the well-known FDA-approved toxin that starts with “B.” This makes Innotox simpler to use, as it’s already prepared for drawing from the vial.

Following Jason’s weight loss last year from the carnivore diet, he lost volume in his face, accentuating wrinkles as loose skin settled. Botox is not a solution for volume loss; he is simply reducing strong muscle action.

In the video, Jason explains how he prepared by watching videos in the Natural Kaos App and chatting with members.

He downloaded and printed the Face Map and Tox Layout sheets to stay organized.

He applied numbing cream to the areas he planned to inject.

After marking the injection points on his face map, Jason transferred those marks onto his face.

Next, he prepared the Innotox syringes and arranged them on the Tox Layout sheet.

Once his space was set up, he began with the center of his forehead. This proved challenging because his eyeglass frames obstructed the area he needed to inject.

He persevered and completed all injections in 40 minutes. The initial injections took longer as he acclimated to the sensation and gained confidence.

For his next session, Jason plans to use small “Mascara Glasses” to improve his vision during the procedure.

These are a great find for this DIY procedure!

I never considered these glasses since I don’t need them for injections… yet. I’m sure these little helpers will come in handy soon, though.

Jason experienced one side effect from his first DIY Tox session. He explains it in the video, but essentially, when injecting for his nose lines, he went too far to the side and injected the levator labii superioris.

This caused his upper lip to drop—an unfortunate outcome, but one that provided valuable insight. The severity will decrease over the next couple of weeks, and his smile will gradually improve.

Overall, Jason is delighted with his Brotox results. He notices significant improvements, particularly around his eyes and across his horizontal forehead lines.

**Side Note: Innotox is becoming less available. It was recently purchased by Allergan, the owners of Botox. Their plan is to bring it to the US market at a higher price point and reduce its availability in the global market. This highlights an unfortunate reality of pharmaceutical power—it’s often more about profit than safety.

Our world has many effective, affordable, and useful products. However, we shouldn’t face price gouging in the US to keep pharmaceutical companies highly profitable. Many argue that Big Pharma uses the FDA as a tool, controlling and potentially harming US consumers through regulatory influence.

As individuals, we have the right to use products of our choice. If I decide to purchase and use a product on myself, that’s part of a free market system. Free markets maintain competitive pricing; as competition decreases, prices tend to rise. With less competition, we’re left with fewer options, and those remaining options often become more expensive.
