Many of you might be wondering if microneedling actually works. Well, let’s test it. This year I will microneedle my face once a month, and record the progress. At the end of this series of videos, we will go over the effects microneedling has had on my skin and you can decide for yourself. Before we start here’s a little background on microneedling. Microneedling is a collagen induction procedure that helps rejuvenate your skin. It works using a series of needles to puncture the surface of your skin. As your brain senses trauma, it responds by using your body’s reparative functions to increase collagen and elastin in the skin. As your body heals, your skin looks refreshed and its texture elevates. In addition, pairing microneedling treatment with serum can bring your skin to the next level. Since the pen has created small puncture wounds in your skin, using a serum in between allows it to be more easily absorbed. If you want to learn more about microneedling be sure to check out my Microneedling 101 post. Now that you know a little bit about the procedure, let’s get started!
