Recently released, the Metropolis palette from Natasha Denona contains 28 different shades ranging from shimmers to mattes. While down in Sephora this past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to meet Natasha Denona. After watching her positive energy and love for beauty I decided it would be fun to try out her newest palette. With all the different color options it can be difficult to create a look that’s creative yet not too overpowering. Luckily, Natasha had some great advice. When creating a look, stick to the one bold color you want to pop and surround it with complementary colors to enhance rather than clash. With their denser texture, the eye shadows tend to be more creamy than powdery. This allows the color to be applied in a smooth, easy fashion.
When I first looked at this palette, I loved all the colors. Natasha Denona is known for her creative spirit in the world of beauty and her metropolis palette certainly emphasizes that. As I tried to figure out which was the right look for me, I became a little overwhelmed. After all, not everyone is comfortable with such bold looks. Though I was unsure, I decided to take a risk and try out some new looks. Stepping outside your comfort zone helps you out of the box. Who knows, maybe you’ll find a new look that makes you feel as incredible as you are.
