Tummy Tuck Before and After SCAR Check

9 Month Post: Tummy Tuck Before and After SCAR Check

Currently, I’m 41 years old, 5’2”, I’ve given birth four times, and I just weighed in at 108 and 18% fat. I elected to have a -Tummy Tuck with Internal abdomen corsetting -Breast Lift with 100cc silicone implant -And thigh and knee liposuction to help slim my legs.

SCARS

The thought of undergoing a tummy tuck surgery can often bring about concerns, especially regarding the resulting scar. It’s completely natural to fear how prominent or visible the scar might be after the procedure. Many individuals worry about the permanence of the scar, its size, and whether it will heal well or be noticeable when wearing certain clothing.

However, advancements in surgical techniques have allowed for more refined methods that aim to minimize scarring. Surgeons often strategically place incisions in areas that can be discreetly hidden by undergarments or swimwear. Additionally, post-operative care, such as scar management treatments and following the surgeon’s instructions diligently, can significantly aid in reducing the appearance of scars over time. This was when my Surgeon – Dr. Green suggested VBeam.

Yet, it’s crucial to have realistic expectations about scarring as it varies from person to person. Some scars may fade and become less noticeable with proper care, while others might remain more prominent. Consulting extensively with a qualified plastic surgeon to discuss concerns, expectations, and post-operative care plans is pivotal in alleviating fears and understanding the potential outcomes of a tummy tuck procedure.

SEMAGLUTIDE

I use Semaglutide for weight management as it has shown the results I needed in aiding weight loss. Its weekly injection helps me to not overeat or think about food constantly, making it easier to maintain a healthier lifestyle and achieve my weight loss goals. Semaglutide has become an essential part of a lot of people’s weight management journey due to its effectiveness in supporting sustainable weight reduction.

FINDING THE RIGHT PLASTIC SURGEON

Finding the right plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck involves thorough research and consideration. Start by seeking board certification, ensuring the surgeon has specialized training in plastic surgery and relevant experience in performing tummy tuck procedures.

MY SURGEON DR GREEN

Reading patient reviews and viewing before-and-after photos can provide insights into the surgeon’s skill and patient satisfaction. Consultations are vital; during these meetings, discuss your goals, ask questions about the procedure, and assess the surgeon’s communication style and ability to address your concerns. Finally, trust your instincts and choose a surgeon with whom you feel comfortable and confident, ensuring a positive and safe surgical experience.

V BEAM

The V beam laser, also known as pulsed dye laser (PDL), is a specialized type of laser primarily used to target blood vessels and redness in the skin. When used for scar treatment, the V beam laser works by targeting the blood vessels that contribute to the red or pink appearance often associated with scars.

MOVES THE BLOOD FLOW LATERALLY

The V beam laser offers numerous benefits for scar removal and various skin concerns:

  1. Effective Scar Reduction: V beam laser is highly effective in minimizing the appearance of scars, including surgical scars, acne scars, and hypertrophic scars, by targeting the blood vessels that contribute to their appearance.
  2. Minimal Downtime: This non-invasive procedure typically requires minimal downtime, allowing patients to resume their daily activities soon after treatment.
  3. Precision and Safety: The laser’s precise targeting selectively heats the targeted blood vessels without damaging surrounding skin, ensuring safety and minimizing the risk of adverse effects.
  4. Reduced Redness and Discoloration: V beam treatment significantly reduces redness, vascular lesions, and discoloration associated with scars, promoting a more even skin tone and texture.
  5. Suitable for Various Skin Types: It is safe and effective for a wide range of skin types and tones, offering versatility in addressing scar concerns for diverse patient populations.
  6. Improvement in Texture: Besides reducing redness, the V beam laser can also stimulate collagen production, leading to improved skin texture and a smoother appearance of scars over time.
  7. Comfortable Procedure: Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure, with the option for topical anesthetics to enhance comfort during treatment.
  8. Gradual and Long-lasting Results: While multiple sessions may be needed for optimal results, improvements are typically gradual and long-lasting, providing sustained benefits for scar reduction.

Consulting a qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon experienced in V beam laser treatments can provide personalized insights into how this procedure may specifically benefit your scar removal needs.
