Ultimate Neck Tightening Treatment: PDO Threads & Innotox Combination
Did you know that the skin on our necks is thinner than the skin on our faces? Thin skin has less collagen, causing it to wrinkle faster than thicker skin would. Besides the crepey skin we notice, you might also notice your Platysmal bands stretching more, creating vertical lines and giving an older appearance.
My neck’s condition changes depending on the care I give it. It’s fall 2024, and my neck certainly needs a little TLC! You can see looser skin, and when I swallow or make facial expressions, you can see the pull my Platysmal bands create.
To address both collagen loss and Platysmal band lines, I’m going to do an Ultimate Neck Tightening Treatment inside my skin and wellness app, combining PDO Threads & Innotox for a more youthful neck.
REFLECTING ON PAST TREATMENTS

PDO THREAD TYPES
You might be familiar with PDO Threads, but did you know that threads come in different materials and forms which induce collagen longer?
The materials options are PDO, PLLA, and PCL.
PDO or polydioxanone threads, stimulate collagen production by ****triggering the body’s natural healing response and then ****gradually dissolve over 4–6 months, while the body heals around them.
These threads don’t just sit passively under your skin; they actively prompt your body to generate new collagen and help provide support for its growth. This dynamic process ultimately contributes to improving the overall youthfulness and elasticity of your skin.
Other types of threads, such as PLLA and PCA, can also stimulate collagen production. PLA threads take about 12 months to be absorbed, while PCA threads take about 12 to 15 months
MARKING NECK FOR INNOTOX
To mark my neck for platysmal band toxin injections, I strain my neck to make the platysmal bands visible. I then use a makeup pencil to mark the areas.

Marking above chin and along jaw to help ease the pull across the mandible to the neck. This will provide a sharper jaw line.

I administer 2 units of toxin per injection site. The platysmal bands are strong, so multiple injection points are necessary, spaced incrementally.

It is marked for threads and tox.

I’m using a combination of PCL and PLLA threads along with Innotox.
This is how I marked for for the PLLA 25mm length threads. These are short and great for under your chin and in front of your neck.
Each pack has 20 threads divided into two sealed packs of 10 threads. When you open a sealed pack, you must use all the threads or discard unused ones.
I use this PDO thread book to help with ideas on placement and how to construct a framework.
Next, we will mark for the longer PCL 38mm length threads. These are longer and great for those long lines that cane develop in your side neck.

For this procedure I did numb my neck to help with discomfort.
I derma roll lightly to help open my skin.
I coat it with numbing cream.
Then I cover the numbing cream with plastic wrap.
I just completed my neck injections for my platysmal bands.
